Focused Neurodivergence support
Sometimes what is needed is not long-term therapy or another assessment, but a focused space to understand what is happening and develop practical ways forward.
Our six-session psychological programmes provide structured, individualised support for adults and parents. Each programme combines psychoeducation, psychological formulation and practical strategies, while remaining flexible enough to focus on what matters most to you.

Understanding Your Neurodivergent Brain
For adults who want to develop a better understanding of how their neurodivergence affects everyday life and identify approaches that work with, rather than against, the way they function.
You may already have an autism or ADHD diagnosis, be awaiting assessment, self-identify as neurodivergent, or simply be exploring whether neurodivergence may help explain some of your experiences.
Across six sessions, we explore:
1. Understanding You
Your experiences, strengths, difficulties and what you would like to understand or change.
2. Your Personal Formulation
Developing a compassionate understanding of how your neurodivergence, experiences, environment and current demands interact.
3. Executive Functioning
Attention, organisation, working memory, task initiation, procrastination, motivation and time management.
4. Regulation, Sensory Needs & Overwhelm
Recognising overload, understanding sensory and emotional needs, and developing approaches to regulation and recovery.
5. Relationships, Communication & Boundaries
Exploring masking, people pleasing, social energy, communicating your needs and developing sustainable boundaries.
6. Your Personal Toolkit
Bringing everything together into an individualised set of strategies and adjustments that you can continue to use beyond the programme.
A formal diagnosis is not required.

Life After Diagnosis
For adults who have received an autism, ADHD or combined diagnosis and would like support to understand what that diagnosis means for them personally.
Diagnosis can bring clarity and validation, but it can also lead to new questions about identity, previous experiences, relationships and what you might want to do differently going forward.
Across six sessions, we explore:
1. Making Sense of Your Diagnosis
Understanding your individual neurodevelopmental profile and what the assessment findings mean for you.
2. Looking Back Differently
Revisiting previous experiences through a neurodivergent lens and developing a more compassionate understanding of yourself.
3. Masking, Expectations & Identity
Exploring the ways you may have adapted yourself around others and considering what authenticity means for you.
4. Your Practical Support Needs
Identifying adjustments and strategies relating to areas such as executive functioning, sensory needs, regulation, work and everyday life.
5. Relationships & Communicating Your Needs
Considering disclosure, communication, relationships, boundaries and how to explain your needs to others.
6. Moving Forward
Bringing together your understanding and identifying what you would like to take forward following diagnosis.
You can access this programme whether you were diagnosed through I.N. Therapy Berkshire or another provider.

Understanding Your Neurodivergent Child
For parents who want to develop a deeper understanding of their child's neurodivergence and find practical, compassionate ways of supporting them.
Your child may already have an autism or ADHD diagnosis, be awaiting assessment, or you may simply be wondering whether neurodivergence could help explain some of the things you are noticing.
Across six sessions, we explore:
1. Understanding Your Child
Building a picture of your child's strengths, differences, difficulties and the situations in which they thrive or struggle.
2. Understanding Neurodivergence
Developing a practical understanding of autism and/or ADHD and how these may present specifically for your child.
3. Looking Beneath Behaviour
Moving beyond what behaviour looks like to consider what your child may be communicating through overwhelm, avoidance, distress, withdrawal or dysregulation.
4. Connection and Co-regulation
Understanding regulation and exploring ways of helping your child feel safe, understood and supported when things become difficult.
5. Making Everyday Life Easier
Considering practical approaches to demands, routines, transitions, executive functioning, sensory needs, communication and family life.
6. Your Family's Toolkit
Bringing together what you have learned and developing an individualised set of strategies that feel realistic for your child and family.
This is not a generic parenting programme and the focus is not on making your child behave differently. The aim is to understand what may sit beneath difficulties and identify approaches that are appropriate for your individual child.
A formal diagnosis is not required.
