Psychological Therapy and Autism and ADHD Assessment Clinic

Welcome to I.N. Therapy Berkshire

At I.N. Therapy Berkshire, we provide specialist Autism and ADHD assessments alongside individual psychological therapy for children, young people and adults. We are committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care, recognising that every individual's experiences, strengths and challenges are unique.

Our assessments are conducted by highly qualified, HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists with extensive experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and mental health. We follow current NICE guidance and use evidence-based assessment approaches, ensuring that each assessment is thorough, clinically robust and tailored to the individual. We take time to understand the whole person, gathering information from multiple sources to build a comprehensive picture rather than relying on a single appointment or questionnaire.

Alongside assessment, we offer specialist psychological therapy in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, trauma, low mood, emotional wellbeing, or understanding your neurodivergent identity, our approach is collaborative, respectful and tailored to your individual goals.

We understand that seeking an assessment or starting therapy can feel daunting. Our aim is to ensure you feel listened to, understood and supported throughout every stage of your journey. We value open communication, clinical excellence and neuroaffirming practice, helping individuals and families gain greater understanding, confidence and practical strategies to move forward.

Whether you are looking for answers through assessment or support through therapy, we are here to provide high-quality, evidence-based care with warmth, professionalism and compassion

We Work With...

We work with people who are experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties. These include, but are not limited to:

Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders cover a range of difficulties including, worry, panic, social anxiety and nervousness. Psychological therapy can help you to better understand the causes of your worries and find ways to help you feel calm, safe, and able to manage.

Depression and Low Mood

Most people feel low at points, but if you feel your mood is having a negative or unhelpful impact on your life, asking for help is an important first step. We can support you to regain a sense of happiness and fulfilment and develop coping strategies to manage the impact your mood is having on you.

Emotional Regulation Difficulties

Sometimes our emotional world can feel overwhelming or scary, or as if we are unable to manage our emotions. For some of us, we may feel disconnected or numb. We will work together to heal and change how you feel about our internal world and restore a sense of balance.

Low Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence

Self esteem is how we view and hold ourselves in mind. If we believe we are not good enough, this can impact negatively on our confidence, and sometimes lead to other psychological difficulties like anxiety and depression. Finding the root cause for a negative self view will be a crucial first step to then develop a more balanced and compassionate way of holding ourselves in mind.

Interpersonal and Relationship Difficulties

Interpersonal and relationship difficulties may include a sense of disconnection from others, or struggling with thoughts, feelings and behaviours that interfere with your ability to remain close to others. You may also experience relationships as unsafe and worry about maintaining boundaries. Therapy can help you to address these difficulties as an individual, within a couple, or a family, in order to move forward.

Stress and Trauma

Through no fault of our own we can experience stressful, traumatic and frightening experiences in our life, which have an impact on our beliefs about ourselves, others and the world around us. We may experience certain symptoms such as flashbacks and intrusive thoughts related to the traumatic experience, high levels of panic, avoidance, shame, and fear. Psychological therapy can support you to work through and update your beliefs, regain a sense of internal and external safety, and reclaim your life.
